Community Garden: (click title to see photos)

LLWC grows a community garden as one of its outreach efforts. In spite of a very wet season in 2011, we harvested about 3500 pounds of produce: potatoes, squash, carrots, cabbage, beets and onions that we distributed to people in our community.

Local Food Pantry:

At least four or five local families benefit from our gifts of food. Non-perishable items are collected regularly and donated to the Long Lake food pantry.

Items needed for the food pantry are: soup, spaghetti, elbow macaroni, rice, noodles, peanut butter & jam/jelly, cereals (all kinds), pancake mix, syrup, boxed mashed potatoes, ketchup, juices, and whatever else you may be able to spare. Please leave your donations in the basket marked “Food Pantry” in the back entry foyer. Thanks so much!
